Revo@Work is a movement/mobilization of young working adults (YWAs) who are maximizing their Mondays to Fridays at their work location to make a stand for what they believe in, and to make an impact by being a positive influence right where they are. It could be an individual’s story of how the workplace is being revolutionized by radical stands made or real care shown. It is also the coming together of like-minded, “like-spirited” YWAs to do something* together in their offices or communities with a mission to make the difference and bring about positive change (i.e. revolution)! It is not just about bringing people to Christ, but - even more so - about bringing Christ to people (and into offices)!

 

Illustrations:

• A group of YWAs working in the KLCC area could decide to apply for leave together on a set date just to spend time praying together or doing something radical on that day!
• An individual on his company trip to the Netherlands is confronted with the temptation to entertain “call girls” but makes a stand not to. He returns to find himself promoted!
• An individual is challenged to bless the tea lady with lunch
• A group of YWAs in the Bandar Utama area decides to have a “Treat the company guards to a Buka Puasa dinner” day!
• Gathering together of YWAs working in a certain geographical location before work in the morning weekly at a location to pray fervently from a place of hunger for more of His workings. And prayer is followed by action taken after being challenged by God to do something on that day or week itself.
• A PG group deciding to bring their Bibles to work daily or being unashamed to leave it at their cubicle!
• YWAs bringing it up to your CSR department about what they are involved with in ACTS/AYA and telling them how they want to see this company also partnering together for a cause
• Doing acts of kindness led by the Holy Spirit for colleagues, bosses, cleaners, guards, etc!
• A group of YWAs doing a hospital visitation together
• The mobilization of numerous YWAs to carry out a certain project that radically connects to the unchurched!
• and many more!

Sometimes it can also mean NOT doing something: a non-action or non-compliance, especially when temptation to comply with unrighteous or ungodly policies kicks in @work! The above are preliminary ideas to Revo@work.
